Thing of it is, I don't recall there being any toilet/privy/outhouse type meshes in the base Oblivion.
Which means if my memory isn't failing me again; someone went to the trouble of either creating new meshes specifically for this, or importing them from another game.
Although, if this is to be a new addition to the "reality" mods to go along with hunger, thirst, sleep, etc... it does add some interesting prospects for FO3.
Imagine it: you're crouched, sneaking up onto a ridge line, to get a bead on some Raiders, when a message flashes up on screen...
I warned you that radroach meat was a bad idea! -5 Per and Agi until you find a toilet.
I could write a bridge script to have companions complain about the odors involved when you have such gastrointestinal distress...
I agree that it would make an interesting addition to "Pimary Needs", and yes, I can see you writing said script as a sort of "merge patch" for NCCS and/or your RR Compaions. Come to think of it, it would be rather funny to be listening to NPC idle chatter and suddenly have one of them say "Ok, who just shit?" But that's just me.
Okay, granted I'm somewhat (probably more than somewhat) low-brow in my humors, but I just think it would be funny as hell to be walking through the wastes and out of the blue a companion yell "Oh, goddamn it! Who did that?!"
And then another could blame the dog; only for it to be retorted that there is no dog.
"Either a bonus due to distraction or a penalty due to enemies noticing the smell."
While it's not that particular smell, I do have an Oblivion mod that does similar for body odors. It's a bath mod, but rather than affecting stealth, it affects personality. More days you go without a bath, the bigger the personality penalty.
Come to think of it though, that could certainly make it harder to hide in even the deepest shadow.
The same Bath Mod with the big brass tub that goes Havok-bouncing across the room if you take it from your inventory and activate it in too small an area?
I'll bet you also have the mod that includes the ladies' razor...XD

Yeah, that one. I think the rose fountain adds a beautiful look to most rooms.
"I'll bet you also have the mod that includes the ladies' razor.."
Actually, I just use a skin texture that's pre-shaven...
...Is there really a mod like that? WHY WAS I NOT NOTIFIED? Does it really work?
Actually I never got it to work either, but there was only one version of it back then, hence my sharing the URLs with the assumption that the new version might have fixed it. IDK
That's... er... yep...
ReplyDeleteNobody cast a fireball spell, damn it!
ReplyDelete...Sorry, I couldn't resist anymore...
Now I'm wondering if you get explosions when using fire near an outhouse, like the gas explosions in Fallout 3
ReplyDeleteFine...Meteor Swarm then. Does more damage anyway ;)

ReplyDeleteUmm, "Primary Needs". I need sleep...

ReplyDeleteI wonder how the realism people would react to that :)

Apparently there's an old version and a newer version. Might just apply to player characters, though.
*tracked for future investigation*
ReplyDeleteInteresting, but seems like it might clash with SetBody; since it appears to reset the skin texture based on how long it's been since a shave.
Do you actually use this? Did you get it to work? I saw some comments from players who couldn't get it to.
