After a couple false starts, a bunch of testing, and enough profanity to make any airborne NCO proud, the improved outdoor companions have been uploaded.
I got all of them that I could think of, but may have missed one. I tend to space a bit from time to time, in case you haven't noticed.
You can see here both Scribes, Knight Artemis, the Mechanist, and part of the AntAgonizer. I'd have gotten a group shot of all of them... but they were taking advantage of that whole "wander" capability inside the vault, and had spread out quite a bit.
Gave it a couple days in-game, and no one's yet overcome the new package mods, and wandered outside the Vault 1 cell.
With luck, you people won't manage to find a mod that breaks this one in record time.
Now? I go to bed. Hopefully everyone's vault is sufficiently loaded down with NPCs for the time being. At least until Intel releases their Octo-core mainboards that can handle stupidly large numbers of NPCs in one cell...
Looks good and can't wait to test it out later today.
ReplyDeleteAs for someone breaking it with a mod or such...Give it 72 hours before your first non detailed pm of it being broken. (Yeah short yet you know how people are)
Hope you sleep well
I did actually, thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'd have said before that there's no way people would find a mod that breaks totally custom AI packages, scripts, and dialog... but there was that guy that managed to break the V1 gear door.
I still haven't figured that one out.
In my more vicious and conceited moments, I sometimes have visions of people sitting around their PC, intentionally trying to break mods just to have something to complain about.
O my god how can anyone break the gear door? Only thing I can think that is a bad core game but yeah.
ReplyDeleteI am sure people do try to break things to whine and give you bad marks even when none of your mods should ever have one. You test them out so well and listen to people.
Then again your RR companion vault is a top must have mod in the world with fallout 3 so that alone tells people how good you are.
I wish I knew how he did it.
ReplyDeleteDidn't work didn't work didn't work all my fault etc, etc.
Then all at once it DID work, and I never heard from him again.
Like I said: I have no idea. To be totally honest, I don't even know that there ever was a problem with the V1 door. I could never reproduce the problem. Could have been some other vault, or a game engine error/corrupt save, or nothing at all... I just have no idea.
Tell ya this, though - I do now have some small idea what it must be like to work the customer service desk at Wal-mart.
